Coloring Books – New Releases – November 2019

My monthly round up of the coloring books to be released that I am looking forward to

This post contains affiliate links you can use to purchase the product. If you buy a book using that link, I will receive a small commission. This does not affect the price that you pay. Your support is very much appreciated x

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released. Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month. I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!

This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well. Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases.

Many of these books I will be reviewing as part of my coloring book reviews.

Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates. Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.

If you know of a new release that you think I may be interested in, leave a comment in the  area below

Let’s go ….

Creative Haven Home Sweet Home Coloring Book

Teresa Goodridge has created a number of coloring books for the Creative Haven brand of coloring books.  The latest one showcases the coziness of home.  The publisher’s promise “furnished rooms and welcoming outdoor spaces … everything from immaculate interiors of bedrooms, studies, and kitchens to gorgeous flower-filled backyards and beautifully decorated front porches — plus dozing dogs and curious cats”.  The Creative Haven brand always produces great coloring books representing value for money.   The books feature single-page illustrations, 2 colored inspirational pictures, and perforated pages.

Millie Marotta’s Brilliant Beasts: Favorite Illustrations from Coloring Adventures

Millie Marotta has produced a lot of coloring books all of which feature animals in some shape or form.   Her artwork is very detailed and intricate.  Often that can be off-putting if you do not like fiddly bits.  However, if you color it as a whole, rather than each small element, you can produce great results (without going squinty-eyed!).   This coloring book is a compilation from her other books – not new material.

Not a coloring book but looks useful …

Although this is not a coloring book, with the interest in watercolors and mixed media, I thought it may be useful.   This spiral-bound watercolor tutorial book promises “botanically-based lesson offers instruction at three different skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Learn to paint eucalyptus wreaths, shape olive branches, detail wildflowers, tint fine-lined blooms, shade tropical leaves, and more!”   The books features ” Easy-to-understand diagrams, pictures, and instructions,  each lesson builds upon skills learned in the previous lessons”.   There are ” Over 100 pieces of traceable artwork”. The artist also promises a new ” innovative approach to composition and color theory, with a practical application”

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
