First up, my apologies 🙂 . You may have noticed that I didn’t release my usual post for May and June.   Truth is,  I have so much going on in my life, at the moment, that it is difficult to adhere to my usual coloring schedule.

Now that I have a little time this month,  it’s time to see what July has to offer coloring book wise.

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released. Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month. I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!

This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well. Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases.

Many of these books I will be reviewing as part of my coloring book reviews.

Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates. Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.

If you know of a new release that you think I may be interested in leave a comment in the comments area below

Let’s go …..

Pop Manga Mermaids and Other Sea Creatures

You may have seen my sneak peek of the latest coloring book by Camilla d’Errico on my recent catch-up video.     I adore the style that Camilla has which is elegantly drawn and beautifully surreal.  I am ashamed to say that I still haven’t reviewed her first coloring book,  Pop Manga (but I love looking at it!).

The Beauty of Horror 3: Haunted Playgrounds Coloring Book

Alan Robert’s Beauty of Horror themed coloring books continue.   This time our Ghouliana has the starring role pictured in a “mysterious journey”.  I really love how the Beauty of Horror books are developing.  This book and the Christmas themed book are ones that I’m really looking forward to seeing.

Spiroglyphics: Cities

A little different from the traditional “coloring” book.    In this coloring book by Thomas Pavitte (well known for his Querkles coloring books), you color between the spirals to form the picture.   These types of coloring books, where you are basically coloring with just one color, allow you to be very focused and really enjoy the meditative and therapeutic aspect of coloring.   Thomas has previously released Music Icons and Around the World, in this style of coloring book and later in the year will release one based on Animals.

The talented Mardel Rubio is releasing a new coloring book (which also includes a mini-poster).   This artist edition coloring book features spiral binding, 40 single sided images, perforated pages and thick toothy paper.  Mardel has a beautiful artistic style able to produce detailed and interesting pictures.   It will be exciting to see what this one looks like.

About the author

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
