Coloring Books – New Releases – January – 2018

This post contains affiliate links you can use to purchase the product. If you buy a book using that link, I will receive a small commission. This does not affect the price that you pay. Your support is very much appreciated x

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released. Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month. I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!

This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well. Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases.

Many of these books I will be reviewing as part of my coloring book reviews.

Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates. Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.

If you know of a new release that you think I may be interested in leave a comment in the comments area below

Let’s go …..

Well Santa has left, the holidays are over and it’s time to look to the future and 2018. Many colorists may have received a gift card this year to spend on coloring supplies or may be tempted by some of the new releases. Personally, there’s not many coloring books that have caught my eye for January. My bank account is very happy about that, as a few expensive books have left my funds rather depleted!

The Tattoo Art of Freddy Negrete: A Coloring Book for Adults

Freddy Negrete is an Inkmaster regular and credited with many styles of tattoo design. My hubby collects tattoo books and magazines and I was tempted to buy this one for him (anything to encourage him t color with me). At the time of writing, there is no look inside feature for the book. I am assuming though, from the cover art that the designs will be simple, traditional styles based on flash tattoo art. Flash is the pre made designs that you often see at tattoo parlours that are designed to be ready to wear and inked in a flash. Of course, I could be completely wrong and will have to wait for a peek inside to be released

Seriously, Marty Noble must not sleep! She is a prolific illustrator for Creative Haven with a diverse talent of being able to draw anything it seems. She has some coloring books out in January but this one featuring kittys caught my eye.

Zendoodle Coloring: Merkitties in Love: Lovestruck Mermaid Kitties to Color and Display

Deborah Muller has a couple of coloring books coming out in January as well. What could be cuter than mermaids cats and kitties! That’s the theme of Merkitties which is published by Zendoodle which is packed with 62 cute illustrations. Deborah often self publishes through Create Space, offers her books as digital downloads but also publishes through companies like Posh and Zendoodle. The publishers of this book promise perforated pages and high quality paper.

Where’s the Zombie?

If you like your coloring books a little gory or a teensy bit scary you might like Zombie coloring and activity book. It seems a shame it wasn’t released pre Halloween but would be fun to color no matter the time of year.

About the author

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
