Vinterdrommar – Postcards (20)
To call Vinterdrommar a set of postcards seems to be sacrilegious. These are beautiful cards lovingly designed by Swedish illustrator, Hanna Karlzon.
The postcards are in notebook format and glued to the spine. The cover, both front and back, is a lovely navy blue which signifies night so much better than black, in my opinion. It is my understanding, and I could be wrong, that Vinterdrommar means Winter Dreams in English. There is still line work on the covers that you could color in (and the cover is included in the illustrations to color). The cover has hints of silver foil to highlight the stars and the lantern background. The spine is bound in black with silver lettering. The black spine seems to be a theme with all the coloring products I have seen from this talented artist.
The cards are printed on high quality cardstock. If only I had known how gorgeous these cards would be – I would have ordered two 🙁 There are 20 postcards in total and on the back there is the usual space to address and send the card. I would not send the cards but frame them and keep them selfishly for myself 🙂
Inside there are beautiful birds, Christmas ornaments, reindeer, snowflakes and villages. If you have Dagdrommar, the coloring book from this artist you will recognise the bunny rabbit, diamond and beads from that book. I would love to know the story behind this bunny as he seems to have a starring role in all work by the artist. I love the gingerbread house, the cat with the crown, the wise owl..but I think my favorite illustration is the gorgeous snow globe.
Unfortunately, the Vinterdrommar theme has only been released in postcards and there is not a coloring book to match it. Hopefully, that will change one day 🙂
At this stage, the books and postcards can only be purchased from the Pen Store in Sweden. They ship worldwide and I had no problems at all ordering from them. Delivery was prompt and the items were well packaged.
Hanna Karlzon has advised that her products will soon be available for order from Amazon.
Have a look at the video review below of Vinterdrommar a set of 20 postcards and let me know if you love it as much as I do.
