Millie Marotta is a hugely popular illustrator and her idiosyncratic drawings of the botanical world are stunning. Millie Marotta's Tropical World invites you to lose yourself in a riot of colouring in and drawing. Her beautiful illustrations are crying out for a touch of colour, an additional line here and there - the most mindful of activities. The artist's intricate style of illustration will get you itching to make your own mark, whether it's to add to the fine lines on exotic trees, or add a splash of colour to petals on an exotic bloom or the feathers of a tropical parrot.

Tropical Wonderland – Millie Marotta

This is a beautiful adult colouring book.   The cover has partial printed colour on it with foil highlights.    The cover, as with Animal Kingdom, is made of card stock and is colorable.   The inner cover folds out and can also be coloured in.

The images are printed on white, good quality paper.   The illustrations are on both sides of the paper.  Many of the images run to the spine of the book.    These illustrations will present a problem when you are trying to colour them in.   The majority of the drawings, however, are well distanced from the spine.

This book is filled with beautiful illustrations of tropical plants and wild life.      For lovers of mandalas, there are quite a few extremely detailed and intricate mandala style drawings among the selection.

The spine of this book is a lovely pink colour which makes it easy to spot on the shelf from its companion Animal Kingdom which sports a blue spine.   The attention to detail in this book is outstanding from the decisions on binding, cover and drawings.

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
