Colour Me Mindful – Birds – Anastasia Catris

This is a lovely book illustrated by Anastasia Catris.     In the Colour Me Mindful series there are a number of books focusing mainly on nature (but there is a mermaid book). The books are small.    They  are a great size for toting about in your handbag or for when you are travelling.     When I am at home I prefer to work with a larger book, but that is just personal preference.

The cover of this book is the same style as all others in the Colour Me Mindful series.    It is approximately 17cm x 17cm with a card cover that has been partially printed in colour.   In theory, you could colour the line work on the cover that remains but I think you would need to use an alcohol based marker.  My cover has a waxy texture that may make using some mediums difficult.

The illustrations are very detailed in this book.     They are printed on both sides of the good quality white paper.   You will find a range of birds here, parrots, peacocks, owls and even an emu.

I’m Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I’m all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
