This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released. Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month. I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!
This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well. Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases. As you may have noticed I have not been releasing my picks of new releases regularly this year. As many people know, we’ve renovated a house, had a bit of a “no fixed address situation”, been on holidays and move to a new State. Unfortunately, our move was full of problems one of them being no internet for over a month 🙁 . Now, the internet is working and I’m ready to get back to schedule!
Many of these books I will be reviewing as part of my coloring book reviews.
Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates. Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.
If you know of a new release that you think I may be interested in, leave a comment in the comments area below
Let’s go …..
There are a few coloring books released in October that I’ve been waiting anxiously for. I’m sure you already know what they are ..or may even have them already.
World of Flowers: A Coloring Book and Floral Adventure
The amazingly talented Johanna Basford releases her 7th coloring book (Secret Garden, Enchanted Forest, Lost Ocean, Magical Jungle, Johanna’s Christmas, Ivy and the Inky Butterfly) at the end of October in the US and the UK. World of Flowers …features flowers of all types and sizes illustrated in Johanna’s style.
World of Flowers Coloring Book follows the same format as Johanna’s other books with gold foiling and good quality paper.

The Beauty of Horror: Ghosts of Christmas Coloring Book
I love all of the Beauty of Horror books but Ghosts of Christmas Coloring Book is the one that I’ve been super excited to see. To me, this is when Ghouliana really gets to steal the show with her very own book. I have become very fond of Ghouliana throughout the series of books. Plus a creepy Christmas book is somewhat appealing to me in among all the sugar and spice books that are launched at this time of year.
What has me the most excited is the layout of the book. Ghosts of Christmas Coloring Book has perforated pages with single illustrations. That means you can easily remove for coloring or framing! My darling is a huge fan of Alan Robert’s books and he always wants to take out the pages and frame them (just as line art). This way he can take the pages out without the risk of me completely losing it with him ha ha!

Magic Autumn – Halloween Grayscale coloring book
The talented Alena Lazareva has created a grayscale coloring book with a lovely Halloween theme. There are two sets of the same images within the book which is great if you want to color the picture again or share with a friend. The book is printed on white trade stock paper.

Autumn Dreamlings: A Beautiful Fall Coloring Book
Edwina McNamee creates very cute coloring books filled with whimsical pictures. This new coloring book features images associated with the fall/Autumn season. It does contain some images from her previous coloring book, Autumn Falls. There are two versions of each image – one with a white background and the other with black.

A Fairies Tale Coloring and Story Book
Tabitha Barnett has created a lot of coloring books over the years. My favorites are the ones that she has been working on for the last year or so – her Broken Circles books and these cute fairy tales. Tabitha is a dab hand at creating cute and whimsical scenes. Her latest book is a collaboration with the author, Franklin Newberry to create a coloring and storybook in one.

Spiroglyphics: Animals
These books are so relaxing! They feature a spiral that you color between the lines. Hidden between is an image that comes to light once you have colored. I have a Cities themed one that’s great for coloring to really relieve stress. The new book focuses on Animals with 20 illustrations including a fox, an alpaca, an eagle, a horse, a rabbit, a tiger, a gorilla, a koala, a giraffe and others.

Mapping the World: A Mapping and Coloring Book of World History
This is the second volume of Mapping the World which features thirty-five reference maps and fifty outline maps that you can color in. At the time of writing, there is very little information or images relating to this book. It does intrigue me though as I love maps and history and it would be interesting to see the combination of these together.

Zendoodle Colorscapes: Enchanting Islands
Deborah Muller from Chubby Mermaid is a dab hand at drawing most things – cute girls, mermaids and even ghouls. In this new book, Enchanting Islands, published by Zendoodle there will be pictures of island escapes. Unfortunately, at the time of writing there is very little about the book. A bonus though is that the pages are perforated and ready to frame.

Zodiacolor : Artist Edition Adult Coloring Book

The Wolves of Trisidian Artist Coloring Book
This coloring book is based on the Wolves of Trisidian Trilogy book series. It is an unusual coloring book featuring 34 black and white illustrations to color and on the facing page the colored version. It is a smaller book than most coloring books at 8.5 in x 8.5 in. The unusual aspect of this book for me is the line art. The art work is not greyscale and it is not the usual outline line art that most coloring books feature. The artwork in this book is very heavily textured line art which a lot of solid black. For those new to coloring fur, I think this book may be a good starting point.
