Coloring Books – New Releases – March 2020

My monthly round up of the coloring books to be released that I am looking forward to

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released. Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month. I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!

This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well. Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases.

Many of these books I will be reviewing as part of my coloring book reviews.

Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates. Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.

If you know of a new release that you think I may be interested in, leave a comment in the area below

let’s go …

Botanicum Coloring Book: Special Edition

I’m so excited about the English imprint of Botanicum by Maria Trolle.    This coloring book was originally released (with the same name) in Sweden in 2018.   You can see my review of the Swedish edition of Botanicum here.

Maria’s fans had wished that an English edition of the coloring book would be released and that wish has been granted.  Gibbs Smith who have previously published Maria’s books in the US is publishing the English imprint.  Gibbs Smith maintains a high quality for the coloring books they publish. Their books are printed using the same or similar paper as the original coloring book and hardcover design.        In this very special edition of the coloring book,  new exclusive illustrations have been added.

The publisher’s blurb promises “a floral adventure in this garden of botanicals and beyond: Venture into a meadow filled with spring flowers, a cool summer lake, an autumn harvest, and winters first snow. Meet the birds, people, and animals who live together in this fairytale land in harmony with nature. Calm your mind as you color the seasons’ most beautiful plants. In this book, you will also find a register of plants, birds, and butterflies found in the book. Features two new illustrations for each season, for eight new pages of illustrations.”

Archie’s Riverdale Road Trip: Coloring & Activity Book

I grew up with Archie comics and if I ever was sick you would find me in bed reading one!  I have a soft, sentimental spot for this comic book.     There have been a couple of coloring books based on the Archie series of comic books.  I have one that I reviewed here.

If you are a fan of the Archie comics and would like to color it this one promises “60 pages of coloring fun and activities for friends of Riverdale to enjoy! Plus a sheet of stickers! Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, and all the rest of the gang take a tour of Riverdale! Help Archie get to his class on time! Help Reggie bike to the big game! And keep Jughead well-fed in this coloring and activity book filled with over 60 pages of bold, black-and-white line art.”

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.
