It seems so odd to be typing “January 2017” …I    feel like this date should be months away yet but it’s only weeks!   Where has the time gone?

Without further ado let’s get to the new releases before Santa’s sleigh wizzes over me 🙂

This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all coloring books being released.   Bear in mind, that there are hundreds and hundreds of books being released every month.   I cannot possibly keep up with all of them!

This list of new releases is only books that have taken my fancy, and that I think that you may like as well.   Due to the high cost of postage for most readers, this list will usually not include International releases.

Many  of these books I will be reviewing as part of my coloring book reviews.    Those books will marked with an ** after the title.

Please also bear in mind that different countries often have different publication dates.    Something may be released in the US earlier than in the UK or vice versa.

If you know of a new release that  you think I may be interested in leave a comment in the comments area below

Classical Sculpture in Color: An Adult Colouring Book

Color your way through famous sculptures through the ages.  If  I had to think about it, I would have assumed that most sculptures were either bronze or white marble, depending on the materials of the day.  However, the artist advises that sculptures were brightly colored,  and you now have the opportunity to recreate this effect or color as you wish.

About the author

coloringqueen

I'm Lea and I love everything to do with coloring! If it is a coloring book, a poster or even a bookmark that you can color in, I'm all over it. Of course, a girl has to have some pencils, markers, gelly rolls, pastels and what not to make those pictures pretty and I love those as well.

Whilst my coloring style lacks skill, I am enthusiastic and focused on enjoying the moment and having fun.

  • Great books for January! And it’s true: Greek and Roman sculptures (and temples) were brightly colored. (I study Greek and Latin at university)

    • So much to love about January coloring book wise! Thank you for confirming the colored sculptures! I had never heard of this despite traveling to Greece 🙁 One of the greatest things about coloring books, besides the beautiful illustrations and the lovely colored interpretations is learning all these new things! Happy coloring x

  • The variety of coloring books is awsome..Peter Rabbit to Buufy to architecture to sculpture. “We have come a long way baby”
