Color Me Happy – 100 Coloring Templates That Will Make You Smile – Lacy Mucklow & Angela Porter
Color Me Happy is part of the “Color Me” series of books by art therapist, Lacy Mucklow and self taught illustrator, Angela Porter. All of the books in the “color me” series have a theme. The them for this book is happiness 🙂
The book is divided into sections which concentrate on different aspects and imagery: nature, animals and babies, music, food and drink, whimsical imagery and art and architecture. My favorite section is the whimsical imagery.
Like all books produced in the Color Me series the sections are color coded. Each image is printed on white paper and depending on which series it is in the border on the right hand side is colored to match. The nature images are all bordered by a green background with yellow sunflowers. This should help you navigate the book but also may make you smile as well. Of course, having a border on an image may not be suitable for all colorists but it is easy enough to remove with an exacto knife.
Throughout the book you will find coloured templates to give you some inspiration with your art as well as some general advice.
