Coasters to Color
I have to confess, I love coffee 🙂  I’m also a messy coffee drinker with slight OCD.  What this means is that I spend quite a lot of time cleaning my white desk to make sure it doesn’t have coffee stains on it 🙂   It was clear that I needed a coaster to set my coffee cup on, and avoid some of the cleaning duties that I self impose on myself.  I was going to make myself a coaster to color in, but then I seen that some were already available.
The coasters are available in sets of 2, 4 and 6.    I purchased a set of two.   In addition to the coasters you also receive a corresponding amount of mandala images to color and cut out for use with your coaster.  You have a choice of 36 images to choose from when ordering.    I ordered a set of 2 coasters which means that I was able to choose 2 designs.
I have to confess that I was a little overwhelmed with the amount of designs on offer that I found selecting just two quite difficult.   I do not color a lot of mandalas so I was having difficulty choosing something that I could imagine colored as a finished product.    A minor niggle is that I would have preferred to receive some more designs with my order.  I would have preferred to buy a design pack with a variety, say 6, in it that I could choose from.
The coasters arrived in less than a week and were packed to perfection in a sturdy card envelope.   In addition to the two coasters and the designs in a protective plastic sheet there was also a personalised message tag from the store.    I have to say that the customer support for this store was excellent. I failed to correctly identify the designs that I wanted with my order, and the store went above and beyond to ensure that they clarified the order with me before sending.
Fortunately, I had the good sense to copy the designs before I colored.  I was desperately wanting to play with my Inktense pencils and used them for my first experiment with coloring the coasters.  I made quite a mess 🙂  Luckily, I still had the originals to copy and color for my second experiment – not quite as messy as the first effort 🙂
The coasters are a two part pack made of acrylic (easy to clean).   You simply undo the coaster and slip your design in, make a cup of coffee and enjoy 🙂  The coasters have three little rubber feet on them to ensure they rest easily on surfaces without marking.
I really like the two part coaster system because it is easy to swap the images out.   At the moment, I’m not happy with my experimental coloring that I did for the coasters. There is nothing stopping me coloring them again in a different medium or color palette.   In fact, there is nothing stopping me from cutting out coaster shapes from other things that I have colored in and using them instead.   This means that I can have a ton of variety with my coasters, changing out the images when it suits me.    I love #coloringwithapurpose so coasters with an interchangeable image to color are a fave with me.

Hi Lea, I was thrilled to read this review of the colour me mandala coasters. Thank you so much for going to the trouble of making this excellent video review. I am very chuffed that you like the product. xxx Lesley
Thank you for stopping by Lesley! Yes, I do like the coasters – my coffee is quite happy on them! I also like that when I checked your shop last time, there are colored coasters to choose as well. This would be nice as a gift for someone or a color inspiration. Happy creating x
