Magical Delights Coloring Book
Talented Czech artist and jewellery Designer Klara Markova released her first coloring book. The English translation for the book is Magical Delights Coloring Book.
This is a handmade, premium style coloring book. By handmade, I mean that the artist has attended to the printing herself rather than a mass produced publication. This and the premium products and beautiful packaging makes the book a little more expensive than usual. I fell in love with the book. To me, it is a classic coloring book but with a personal touch. Unfortunately, due to the high cost of postage and the currency conversion, this is a book that I have not purchased and will not be reviewing 🙁
I do want to tell you about the Magical Delights Coloring Book though, because from all appearances, this is a stunner.
Cover & Layout
It is a hardback book featuring delightful printed areas with some gold foil highlight. The artist states that a lot of love has gone into the book, and just from the gorgeous cover you can sense that.
The book measures 25cm x 21 cm. In total there are 96 pages “49 pictures to colour in including a spread with opening doors. Opening doors to little houses 2x and opening vignette 1x” Illustrations are printed on cream colored paper.
Illustrations
For lovers of whimsy, this book will make your heart sing. The artist has a romantic way of describing the enchanted forest where her illustrations are set, “By day inside the cottage peace and quiet bestows, but as darkness falls it’s little windows aglow with a warm light and scents of blueberry pie fill the air. Fairy bells and sounds of flutes complement the scene.”
You will also find interactive elements. Fairy houses and toadstools have been set out so you can add little doors to them which are included in the book. This additional touch is sure to make this book a classic coloring book.

What a gorgeous book. I’m not into “fairy books”, but I could be tempted here. Too afraid to check price.

It is a gorgeous book! I love whimsical style coloring books and I particularly like beautifully made ones. The price in Australian currency with the shipping is really expensive – about $60 for one coloring book 🙁 Sadly, I’ve spent my coloring budget on other books so I can’t justify buying this one …but it’s so pretty 🙁 I’m sure they would be happy if I ran a giveaway but I buy the books for the giveaways 🙂 Happy coloring x

The new camera is taking some getting used to …:( and the computer seems to have got upset that new tech has been added, not for her 🙁 Videos are uploading but the internet is sooooo slow! I love the book that Klara has made I just wish it was more affordable 🙁 or that I hadn’t spent my coloring budget 🙁 or that I had won lotto 🙁 or that it could be printed in Australia and reduce the cost 🙂

I splurged and purchased a copy. Totally worth it! Klara will even autograph it for you. I felt guilty until it arrived though, but it’s so pretty the guilt didn’t last long lol
It’s the most beautifully, luxurious coloring book I have 🙂 It’s like a beautiful box of Belgian handmade chocolates a guilty pleasure but delicious. I absolutely love this book! The other thing that is really worth mentioning too is that Klara is just outstanding – her customer service, attention to detail and her helpfulness …put it this way a lot of people could learn from her. She’s a class act. There is a dedicated facebook group for the book too if you want to join! Happy coloring (and enjoy it everyone deserves this book!).
